Skin and muscle, treated together
Emface is made by BTL. It uses two kinds of energy at once. Synchronized radio frequency (RF) gently heats the deeper layer of the skin to support collagen and elastin. HIFES muscle stimulation contracts selected facial muscles to improve their tone and support. The applicators rest on your forehead and cheeks, so no one has to hold a device against your face.
What it feels like
You lie down while the applicators work for 20 minutes. Most people feel muscle contractions and warmth, similar to a hot stone massage. Apart from cleansing your face, there is nothing to prepare beforehand and nothing to do afterward. You can go straight back to your day.
What the studies found
According to BTL, the manufacturer, people in its clinical studies saw on average 37% fewer wrinkles and 23% more lift after a full course, along with a 26% increase in collagen, twice the elastin, and a 30% increase in resting muscle tone. Individual results vary.
Emface and a facelift
Emface is not a surgical facelift and does not replace one. It is a non-invasive option with no surgery, needles, anesthesia, or downtime. Because it works on the deeper skin layers and muscles, some people also use it to get ahead of visible aging.
